Get in Touch

Rio Arriba County Busted Mugshots is a private reference site, not a government office. We cannot confirm custody, authorize or arrange a release, post bond, or obtain an official booking record. Direct those matters to the responsible public office below.

Choose the Record Path

A live custody question belongs with the Detention Center. For an existing law-enforcement report or a record maintained by the Sheriff, start with the Sheriff office and describe the person, date or date range, arresting agency if known, booking number if known, and the precise existing record requested. A written county IPRA request should include the requester's name, address, telephone number, and enough detail for the custodian to locate the record.

  • Use the Detention Center for current county adult-facility status and facility matters.
  • Use the Sheriff offices for law-enforcement reports and questions about records maintained on the law-enforcement side.
  • Use Sarah Archuleta and the County Clerk route for a county IPRA request or help identifying the county custodian.
  • Use the court that maintains the case for a later court filing, disposition, or document request.

Published Fees and Response Timing

The Sheriff’s published fee schedule lists $5 for a law-enforcement report, $1 for each additional page over ten, and $6.75 for photos or media on CD. The county’s general IPRA notice lists Xerox copies at $0.40 per page. These figures may apply to different custodians or formats, and the photo line does not guarantee that a requested booking image exists or is releasable. Ask the receiving office to confirm the current fee, medium, payment method, and record availability before paying.

The Sheriff asks people to allow up to ten working days for report approval. That practical approval estimate is separate from the New Mexico IPRA response framework: inspection should occur immediately or as soon as practicable, and no later than 15 calendar days; if a record cannot be produced within three business days, the custodian should provide written notice of when it can be available. A denial should state its reasons within 15 calendar days. IPRA does not require the county to create a new record or a new roster.
